The Surat Basin forms one of the last major undeveloped export coal deposits in Australia with an estimated coal resource of approximately four billion tonnes and an anticipated lifespan of over thirty years. The coal deposits owned and controlled by the Syntech Group of Companies (Cameby Downs, Rywung, Sefton Park, and Chinchilla) contain potentially substantial quantities of coal.
